Here's What They're Saying about IAF:
  • "As anyone in a position of AD at a major university knows, running a comprehensive athletic program is a multi-faceted complex enterprise. The make up of the agenda and faculty at the Intercollegiate Athletics Forum reflect that complexity which is why is it is such a worthwhile meeting for executives at every level of collegiate athletics."

    Joe Castiglione
    Athletic Director
    University of Oklahoma

  • "With the pace of change in collegiate athletics being what it is today, having an opportunity to meet with the best in the field to learn about and discuss the issues of the day is invaluable. This year’s IAF touched on all of the areas that I deal with every day and provided useful insight into the direction of collegiate sports in the coming years."

    Vince Sweeney
    Senior Associate Athletic Director
    University of Wisconsin-Madison

  • "The Intercollegiate Athletics Forum is an important annual event for our industry. The narrow focus on intercollegiate athletics, the topical nature of the Forum’s agenda, and the quality of the speakers and attendees combine to make the Forum a uniquely valuable annual gathering."

    Jack Swarbrick
    Athletic Director
    University of Notre Dame

  • "As someone involved in one of the most diverse and vibrant athletic programs in the collegiate ranks, the IAF gives me the opportunity to hear from and meet the “best” in every facet of collegiate athletics. It’s an invaluable learning and networking opportunity."

    Ross Bjork
Senior Associate Athletic Director, External Relations
    UCLA

  • "The Intercollegiate Athletics Forum is time well-spent. The tremendous slate of industry leaders from the entire spectrum of the athletics arena was the best I have experienced and covered the most relevant issues we are all dealing with today. I regret not including my senior staff in this event this year."

    Randy Spetman
    Athletic Director
    Florida State University

  • "The agenda at this year’s Intercollegiate Athletics Forum could not have been more relevant from discussions of Division 1 football playoffs, to the impact of the economy on collegiate sports programs to broadcast rights issues, the program addresses all of the most pressing issues for collegiate athletic directors across the country."

    Drew Marrochello
    Deputy Athletic Director
    Boston University

  • "The Intercollegiate Athletics Forum is annually the premier event of its kind in the U.S. It consistently offers a compelling program of timely, comprehensive and very relevant topics, with the most experienced and knowledgeable speakers from the field."

    Debbie Yow
    Athletic Director

Agenda Set. Speaker Faculty Announced.

On December 9 and 10, during New York City’s College Week, SportsBusiness Journal, SportsBusiness Daily and strategic partner IMG, will host the eighth annual IMG Intercollegiate Athletics Forum at the W Hotel on Lexington Avenue in New York City.

This year’s IMG Intercollegiate Athletics Forum will take a hard look at both the challenges and the opportunities facing college sports, as we emerge from the economic downturn. We’ll examine the ways that programs have continued to function with smaller budgets, as well as new revenue opportunities.

You will hear from Chancellors, Presidents, and Athletic Directors, as well as members of the NCAA management team, who play key leadership roles in the decisions affecting college sports

This year’s program will also feature:

•  Dedicated revenue generation sessions: facilities, digital, and licensing

•  One-On-One Interviews with Archie Manning, NFL Pro Bowl Quarterback and  chairman of the National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame and Dan Beebe, commissioner of the Big 12 Conference

•  A Keynote Address from Ari Fleisher, former White House press secretary during George W. Bush’s first term in office and president of Ari Fleischer Sports Communications

• Insights into the changing landscape of sponsorship marketing and sports media

This year’s program could not be more timely. The two-day event will provide provocative discussion and debate, invaluable takeaways and useful networking opportunities, as you look ahead to 2010 and chart the course for your program next year.

About the IMG Intercollegiate Athletics Forum: A “must attend” for anyone involved in the business of college sports, the IMG Intercollegiate Athletics Forum is the one time each year the NCAA leadership, athletic directors, university presidents, conference commissioners, media partners and corporate sponsors gather to discuss mutual issues in college sports.
