The Development of Online Networking Communities
Creating an interactive environment in which online users have the ability not only to read the "expert analysis" of a media outlet's writers, but also to post their thoughts on the issues of the day is essential to developing a base that returns again and again. During this session, you will hear how Bryan Biniak, Jacked; Ken Fuchs, FanNation & Golf.com; Jesse Hertzberg, BigSoccer.com; Dave Morgan, Yahoo Sports; Neal Scarbrough, AOL Sports; Patrick Stiegman, ESPN.com; and Shannon Terry, Rivals.com, are working to capitalize on the wisdom of the masses.

Fantasy Sports Track

Growth of Fantasy Sports Outside of Football and Baseball
Football and baseball have long dominated the discussion of fantasy sports participation; and there is no mistaking that they are still the leading sports in the space. But other sports have started to develop active fantasy bases and the industry is starting to take notice. Jim Corelis, STATS; Jeff Gerttula, SportingNews.com; Steve Grimes, NBA; Patrick Herde, CBSSports.com; Mike Kerns, Pro Trade; Raphael Poplock, ESPN; and Larry Tobin, FoxSports.com, will discuss growth in other areas.

What Distributors Want: Getting Creative with VOD, HD and Broadband

What about a robust VOD offering? These questions and more will be answered by Steve Bellamy, The Ski Channel; Russ Chandler, Comcast SportsNet; Rob Jacobson, iN Demand; Tim Pernetti; CSTV; Eric Sahl, Dish Network; and Carlos Silva, World Championship Sports Network.

11:45
The Accurate Measurement of Online Audiences
New technologies are diminishing the importance of the page view, but a blended measurement tool that could accurately measure online audiences has yet to be developed. During this session, you will hear from Jon Gibs, Nielsen Online; Jack Flanagan, comScore Media Metrix; Jason Palmer, WebTrends; Jeff Price, SI Digital; and former head of Yahoo! Sports, David Katz.

In a case that continues to be closely watched, you will hear poignant arguments from both sides of the case. Steve Byrd, STATS; Rudy Telscher, Harness, Dickey & Pierce; Rick Wolf, NBC Universal; and others will offer their views.
